In 1957, in what is now known as the Toy Valley in Alicante, a large number of small toy companies decided to join forces, due to technological change in the sector due to the appearance of plastic toys, and the difficulty of making the necessary investments to maintain competitiveness in the face of the new situation. Thus, Fábricas Agrupadas de Muñecas de Onil, S.A., FAMOSA, was born. Half a century later, Famosa is still the leading Spanish toy manufacturer, leaders in the sector in Spain and Portugal, with a significant presence in more than 50 countries, including France, Italy, Mexico and the USA.
